 Here's a real "hands-on" project to try!

My daughter went off to camp last week and in the "Camp Survival Kit" that I made for her (filled with magazines, lip balm, flip flops, colorful headbands, s'more-shaped earrings and more), I added a card in the box that said "A hug from home....just in case you need it." The message is only revealed when the arms are open, waiting to hug her.

She loved it! She thought is was pretty cool and I think she liked the hug, too :) I used Raisin Boat set, "Live, Love, Laugh" to decorate the background and hands. I love this set for young girls. It has a very hand-drawn feel to its whimsical designs.

A great way to say "Thanks a Bunch!"

I decided to "try my hand" at making another card using the template. I used the hands to hold a bouquet of flowers. How cute to send the wishes "Thanks a bunch" or send a "get well" wish for someone in the hospital that may not be able to have real flowers in the hospital room.

I used our Raisin Boat set, "Urban Botanicals" for the floral bouquet and "No Loss for Words" for the phrases. I colored in the flowers using Copic Markers, added a fresh bow and some jewels (a girl's best friend) to add to the feminine theme of this card. Here's a the inside and a close-up view:
