Celebrating the Numbers

My sister is about to celebrate a very big birthday and to surprise her, I made a card with the big "6-0" on it. When I'm planning ahead, I like to make cards featuring the person's age. It's a great way to personalize the card. Here are a couple of cards that I made this weekend for two upcoming birthdays.

The first card features the set, "Chicken Coop." This is a fun one because these little chicks are pretty cute doing their thing! I cut the numbers out using my Cricut machine. The background and chicks are stamped using Memento Ink Tuxedo Black and colored in using Memento Markers - Tangelo, Rose Bud and Dandelion. I used BoatHouse Collection(TM) cardstock in vibrant colors - Think Pink, Orange Tree and Yellow Duckie - all great colors to make this big birthday brighter!

Turning 60 is big so why not celebrate it with
some big numbers!

The set, "Chicken Coop" has the perfect sayings
to make this card sweet inside!
For the second card, I used my Cricut machine again to cut out "8s." I attached them to the background and added one special one to the top of the cupcake. The sentiments and the cupcake are from the set, "Hey, Cupcake!" Liquid Applique adds texture to the frosting for that special, yummy surprise! Kids love this. They always want to touch it and see if it's the real thing! I used Boathouse Collection(TM) cardstock in Forget Me Not and Think Pink.  Enjoy! Smiles, Bobbi

Eight is great when you have a delicious cupcake to enjoy on
your birthday! Try using brown Liquid Applique for chocolate frosting, too!
