"Message in a Tin" - A "Keeper(TM)" for Valentines Day!

We just added a new Keeper(TM) to our Website called - "Message in a Tin." In the package, you get one of our large rectangular, hinged tins as well as a sheet of 24 white, adhesive backed tags to add to the tin or to the chocolates inside. Stamp on them with one your Raisin Boat sets and get creative!

Our newest Keeper(TM) includes a hinged window tin
 and 24 self-adhesive labels.

What is a Keeper(TM)?
A Keeper(TM) is a creative package of consumable items that you can receive in place of a stamp rental. Non-members and renters can also purchase additional Keepers. All of our Raisin Boat Keeper(TM) products include free shipping, too.

Need a quick gift idea for Valentine's Day or a birthday? Take a look at how this package can come to life with a little imagination and creativity!

In the the first sample, we used Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black and stamped the adhesive labels using our flower image from the set, "Alpha Bold". We colored them in using Copics and adhered them to our BoatHouse Collection(TM) cardstock in Black Granite and Sun Porch. The band is a simple strip of black cardstock. For the tag, I cut a rectangular shaped piece and trimmed two corners to make a tag shape.   This project takes less than 10 minutes to make and it is fun to give and receive!

Use the adhesive labels as designs on a simple band and coordinating tag made out of
cardstock. Add a message to the tag for a quick gift.
The flower image is from Raisin Boat alphabet set, "Alpha Bold."
Be creative with the labels. I like to use the labels on the bottoms of the kisses for a little "surprise" message inside. Our labels fit perfectly on the bottom of the Hershey Kiss chocolate candies. Our sets, "Heart Attack" and "Playing Cupid" have some small designs that fit nicely on a label. Take a look...

Use the adhesive labels on the bottom of candies for a fun way to
add an element of surprise and a message inside!
We used Raisin Boat "Heart Attack" to create these custom-made goodies!

Now for the outside of our Valentine's themed tins, use our latest Valentine's set, "Sealed With a Kiss" to make fun tags to dress them up.

"Sealed With a Kiss" includes a small kiss to use on a tag. I colored this one using Copics Cool Grey shades C1 and C3 for a realistic look. Add our Red Gingham ribbon to attach the tag to the tin.
Use our latest set, "Sealed with a Kiss" to make this fun tag.
Inside the tin is 20+ kisses to share! Our red gingham
ribbon is a nice staple ribbon for year-round projects.
"Sealed With a Kiss" also has a large kiss that can be used as a focal point. Stamp a word on the tag for personalization. In the next tin sample, I used the large kiss as the focal and the small kiss to make a coordinating background. BoatHouse Collection(TM) cardstock in Silver Shimmer, Red Delicious and Black Granite were used to make this decorated tin. The wide Polka Dot ribbon is reversible to black with white dots.
"Sealed with a Kiss" also has a large kiss in the set. Use it with our
new Silver Shimmer cardstock for an authentic looking chocolate kiss.
Use the small kiss to make fun background patterns, too!

Here's another Valentine idea using a paper doily and cardstock. Don't forget the kisses inside!
Use our Polka Dot Reversible ribbons for quick bands. Then top with
a fun tag. A paper doily is always a pretty addition to a tag, too!

Don't want to send kisses? Send some golden nuggets instead! The Hershey Nugget candy bars fit perfectly in our hinged tin, too. We used "Love Letters" to stamp the band and "Sweet Treats" for the labels.
Use "Love Letters" to create a custom band around a tin of chocolates.
Add ribbons to garnish!

Create custom labels for the chocolates using cardstock.
Stamp a word or design on the labels and attach the labels to the bands.
Add a custom cover to the chocolates or use our circular adhesive labels for a quick design change. The labels work great because they can bend with the bands to fit nicely. Add a word like "sweet." "thanks" or "hi" or stamp an image. Either way, this project looks yummy! ~ Smiles, Bobbi

It's a Boy!

It's been awhile since we've had a little baby boy in our family. All of our baby grand nieces are little girls. However, my oldest niece and her husband just had a baby boy. My friend also just had a baby boy. So, I went off to my studio to make some baby boy congratulatory cards today!

I had not used the baby stamp sets,  "Onesie" and "Onesie, Twosie" for awhile so it was fun to get them out to play!

I thinks it's fun to add stripes and different images to the front of the onesie and to the background papers in the set. You can personalize the onesie based on the interests of the parents, too. For example, if the Dad likes to fish, use the "small fry" image and phrase. There is something for the athlete, cowboy and more!

All four cards feature Boathouse Collection(TM) cardstock in the colors - Varsity Blue, Lemon Glaze, Mud Pie, Brighton Beach White, Red Delicious, and Coffee Bean. I also used gingham ribbon in light blue, white opaque pen and Sticky Dimensionals to complete these cards. All cards feature Memento inks and Copic markers - all available at  - Smiles, Bobbi

Use the long design image in the set to
 create a plaid background design.
Add polka dots or stripes to personalize the onesie.
Here I used the linear design from Onesie, Twosie
to create a horizontal design graphic.
Add stripes to the onesie for a playful pattern design on the onesie.

Use the puppy image or any of the other designs to create
patterned backgrounds. "Onesie, Twosie" includes this cute frame
to change it up!  Create an outer frame using the linear image.

Something new for our rental members in 2012!

Wow, it's been a busy time with the holidays and all of the new stuff we have going on at Raisin Boat. If you get our newsletter, you will learn about some of the new things we are doing and offering. If not, I'll point you in the right direction!

Our rental members now have more ways to enjoy their membership in 2012. We have developed our Keepers(TM) -- consumable cardstock packages, embellishments, and more that you can add to your Pick List in place of stamp sets. Each "Keeper" is equivalent to receiving one stamp set rental. The difference is that you get to keep it!

Our Keepers(TM) are designed to offer more versatility and value to your rental membership. You choose whether you want us to send stamp sets or Keepers(TM) (or both!), by the items you put in your Pick List.

What's fun is that you can use one rental for the stamp set and one for the extra stuff! Or, if you are busy this month and don't have time to stamp, stock up on some of the Keepers(TM) instead. You can then use them next month when you have more time to create in your craft room. It totally makes sense!

I made these quick cards and a scrapbook page using a few of our new Keepers(TM) - Summer Lovin' and Springtime Fresh Card Collections and Elegant Bling Keeper(TM).

To learn more and to view the current Keepers(TM), click here.

We're adding lots of new products so stay tuned...I'll share more later this week! Smiles, Bobbi

This set of cards was made using our Summer Lovin' Card Collection
Keeper(TM) and the Raisin Boat set, "Going in Circles."

Our Elegant Bling Keeper(TM)and Damask Elegance
stamp set were combined to create this elegant scrapbook page.
