Gift Card Holders using our Clear Boxes

Raisin Boat now offers a perfect size box to use for gift cards called the - Clear Gift Card Box. I remember when my mom used to give all of the grand kids money or a gift card during the holidays. I used to make the card/gift holders for her. These would have been so cute because they are more than just a card. They could even hang on the tree, too!

As my daughter enters the tween years, I'm finding gift cards are a great way to go for friend gifts, too. Girls love to pick out their own things so the card makes sense for them and for me...it's an easy gift to buy.:)

Here's a few I made for the holidays using some of our stamp sets.

Visit our Idea Gallery at www.RaisinBoat.com for more ideas like these!

There are so many possibilities with these! I love to use Pearl Pen and Glass Effect Gel on our clear products. On the "Merry Nature" Tree box, I used Pearl Pen in Ice White and Magic Transparent to make falling snow. (All of the products used can be found by clicking on the link below the photo.)

On the Nostalgic "Dear Santa" box, I used Pearl Pen in Red to make a border around the box front. Our striped ribbons ties it all together!

On the "Elves are Watching" card, I carried the background design to the front by stamping the Christmas lights directly on the box front. I used Glass Effect Gel (GEG) in yellow, pink, blackberry and turquoise for the lights. Unlike the Pearl Pen, GEG allows light to shine through for a transparent look which is perfect for the bulbs.

I created a video to show how I made these and share a few tips, too! Here is is.

These are not only nice for the holidays, but anytime of the year and any occasion. I made this one using "Going in Circles" for a tween girl, but you could easily turn this into one for a boy by changing out the colors. I used the same GEG colors as I did in the Elves are Watching example above (minus the turquoise) for a coordinated look with my memento ink colors.
