Another New Set for the Holidays and Winter Season!

Raisin Boat just released "Winter Heart and Sole" for the Winter season and the upcoming holidays. This set has a real trendy, vintage feel with its snowshoes and ice skates and natural elements. I had a lot of fun working with this set. It works so well to pair it with last week's release, "Deck the Halls" and "Merry Nature." Here's the set and it is available at www.RaisinBoat.com.

To inspire you, I want to share a few cards I made with this set below. For the first one, I used our new Pine Branches Embossing folder to create a background and then added Natural twine in dark brown. Pearl Pen in Copper creates the brad/nail look in the corners.

I love reclaimed wood and wanted to accomplish the look with my stamps. I made this hanging wall rack for the scarves and mittens. Skates on the floor as well as hanging give it a feel of fun times at the cabin! Oh and that wood...it's from Deck the Halls. I stamped the wood hanger repeatedly to make this design.

For this one, I paired the set with Believe in Christmas for the sleigh. I used the same wood effect that I did on the card above for the background.

There's more to see in our Idea Gallery. I couldn't stop at just these! Visit us now and see all the looks you can achieve with this set! Smiles, Bobbi

Challenge #17 Christmas

The title says it all! Yes, Christmas is just around the corner... time to get out those decorations, baking supplies and card-making supplies. What?! You don't have any Christmas stamps -- or you don't want to keep using the same holiday set every year?!

Good news! You can rent your Christmas stamps from Raisin Boat! You will find over 25 holiday-themed sets -- from whimsical to elegant to graphic styles -- in the store. You can rent them and send them back, but if you fall in love with your set, you can put it on your Christmas list! Renters even get a 20% discount on any stamp set they buy!

For the challenge, make a Christmas card, set of tags, wrapping paper, treat, gift, or any other project and link it up below. You will be happy to have your holiday projects underway, and you'll also have a chance to win a free Raisin Boat set of your choice!

We have some inspiration below for this month's theme, but first we'd like to announce our winner from Challenge #16:
number 4, Heather Mills, with this adorable card:

Congratulations, Heather, you will receive a free Raisin Boat stamp set of your choice! Please email customerservice@raisinboat.com with the name of your set selection and your mailing address. Now for this month's challenge...  Use any set you have (you don't have to limit your entry to Raisin Boat stamps), but if you use a Raisin Boat stamp set, it will count as two entries. That gives you twice the chance to win a FREE stamp set of your choice! You can enter as often as you like.

Remember, you can either buy  OR rent Raisin Boat sets -- no guilt in using a set for just one project, such as a Christmas scrapbook page or cards, teacher gift, classroom treats, gift tags or any other project.

"Deck the Halls" with our latest set!

Raisin Boat just released "Deck the Halls" for the holidays. Its got mittens, a scarf, ice skates and a holiday stocking - all to hang on a rustic wood rack, also included. I had fun with this stamp set today. Here's a few cards I made using the set.

I used the mittens and scarf images to make a background for my favorite phrase in the set. A few punched out circles in the focal point phrase layered with Pearl Pen dots makes for a playful non-traditional holiday card.

For a complete list of products used for this project, visit our Idea Gallery at www.RaisinBoat.com.

I used the string of lights from the set, "Elves are Watching" to embellish this card. The skates, stocking and scarf hang from the hooks on the wood holder. I added polka dots to the stocking using our fabulous Signo Uni-ball white pens. Pearl Pens in bright colors make the lights pop from the card.

Pairs of mittens are a perfect find, but when you're missing one, it's just not the same! Here's a fun way to say "I miss you" around the holidays. The heart is included in the set, too!

Gift Card Holders using our Clear Boxes

Raisin Boat now offers a perfect size box to use for gift cards called the - Clear Gift Card Box. I remember when my mom used to give all of the grand kids money or a gift card during the holidays. I used to make the card/gift holders for her. These would have been so cute because they are more than just a card. They could even hang on the tree, too!

As my daughter enters the tween years, I'm finding gift cards are a great way to go for friend gifts, too. Girls love to pick out their own things so the card makes sense for them and for me...it's an easy gift to buy.:)

Here's a few I made for the holidays using some of our stamp sets.

Visit our Idea Gallery at www.RaisinBoat.com for more ideas like these!

There are so many possibilities with these! I love to use Pearl Pen and Glass Effect Gel on our clear products. On the "Merry Nature" Tree box, I used Pearl Pen in Ice White and Magic Transparent to make falling snow. (All of the products used can be found by clicking on the link below the photo.)

For a complete list of products used, go to our Idea Gallery here.

On the Nostalgic "Dear Santa" box, I used Pearl Pen in Red to make a border around the box front. Our striped ribbons ties it all together!

For a complete list of products used, go to our Idea Gallery here.

On the "Elves are Watching" card, I carried the background design to the front by stamping the Christmas lights directly on the box front. I used Glass Effect Gel (GEG) in yellow, pink, blackberry and turquoise for the lights. Unlike the Pearl Pen, GEG allows light to shine through for a transparent look which is perfect for the bulbs.

For a complete list of products used, go to our Idea Gallery here.

I created a video to show how I made these and share a few tips, too! Here is is.

Link address: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=beCG0xA_1g0

These are not only nice for the holidays, but anytime of the year and any occasion. I made this one using "Going in Circles" for a tween girl, but you could easily turn this into one for a boy by changing out the colors. I used the same GEG colors as I did in the Elves are Watching example above (minus the turquoise) for a coordinated look with my memento ink colors.

For a complete list of products used, go to our Idea Gallery here.

All of the products I used for each box are listed in our Idea Gallery at www.RaisinBoat.com. Simply click on the convenient clink below each photo above to get the product information.
